Any day I get to share a new Quixotism track is always a good day. It's been a while since we've heard anything from the L.A.-based producer, but he's back at it with a remix of a track called "I Remember."
Calling it "a sorta remix of 'I Remember' by Mattie Baybee," Quixotism takes the original hip-hop tune off of the Young Legends 2 mixtape and makes it unrecognizable. Piano and horns float over a beat with some firework-sounding snare and an almost ethereal vibe. About all that's left of the original track is Quixotism taking Mattie Baybee's auto-tuned vocals and warping them into something that sounds like it's coming out of a tin can.
The feat of turning "I Remember" into such a deep and melodic piece is really testament to the production skills of Quixotism, and is making me hope he continues to turn tracks upside down.
