Why do we like this?
Better known as the frontman and songwriter for Canary, a Melbourne-based band, Matthew Kenneally's 'first fruits' from his solo project are oh so sweet.
The muse of Elliott Smith has found a true home in Kenneally's delicate guitar and hushed lyrics. "Would You Do It Again?" was recorded mostly out in his little cottage in leafy Eltham, and the intimacy and isolation of this location seeps into the music through the soft strings and a sense that there is all the time in the world to hear the leaves rustle in the wind outside.
