Why do we like this?
I've been on the fence with Masego for a while now. I like his jazz sensibilities and his tongue-in-cheek songwriting, but with "Navajo," I was truly convinced.
His first release of 2017, the vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer lays harmonies atop a serenading vocal sample and humming, as produced by JLL. The talented 24-year-old introduced his Trap House Jazz genre in 2014 with a series of short saxophone-led instrumental releases before teaming up with future bounce producer Medasin on the acclaimed Pink Polo EP.
He's since collaborated with GoldLink, Soulection's Louie Lastic, and most recently featuring on SiR's "Ooh Nah Nah."
