Why do we like this?

I first wrote about Marz last month when she debuted her subdued ballad "L O N E R." She's now following up with a second single off her EP, titled "Fire." I'll spare you the cheesy puns, but this track is trouble. With lyrics like, "But you fuck me like you hate me," Marzis making a statement on her sophomore effort -- to say the least.

It's got her signature downtempo vibe, with a reverbed and broken beat barely slinking along under her echoed whispers. This track defines Marz as an artist-- raw emotions, stripped down instrumentals, and a real message conveyed through haunting vocals.

As D. Lynch might suggest, "Fire, walk with me."
