Why do we like this?

With summer here, it feels like the perfect time to share the work of International Feel head honcho Mark Barrott.

Barrott has been behind a string of slow, dreamy Balearic releases, starting with last year's debut album Sketches From an Island.

He's now following that up with an EP of the same name, with "Cirrus and Cumulus" a particular standout track. It was premiered by Gilles Peterson,  who described it as follows:

"...a sonic snapshot of Ibiza's soft, cerulian glow. Fans of Steve Reich will be pleased to jump straight into the the polyrhythms of ‘Cirrus & Culumus’, which also shows since of his love of Ghanan music..."
