Why do we like this?
Not saying that Emmanuel Egwu (aka Equator Club) is recreating the scene or anything, but his latest remix for "Let Me Love You" is here to remind us that Chicago is still grooving on that house tip.
I'm pretty sure this is the first Chicago house producer I've blogged about, which is just bizarre . But I suppose it's no more strange then blogging about a billion other producers emulating Detroit house/techno and yet rarely coming across a genuine Detroit artist doing the same. So, I changed my mind, it's not that bizarre at all.
At any rate, Equator Club is really good and I just love Mario remixes. Also, his collaboration with Aztek on "Gotta Have It" is seriously one of my all time favorites. Why I didn't blog about it?
