Margot & The Nuclear So And So's have announced the release of their fourth studio album Rot Gut, Domestic on March 20, 2012 via their own Mariel Recording Company.
"Shannon," the third track on Rot Gut, Domestic, is a rather raw stomper that offers up a glimpse into the elements that define their "panic pop" sound and what we can expect from the rest of the LP. It starts off a little rough with harsh-hitting guitar riffs, gritty vocals and crude lyrics, but the overall outcome is a song that is undeniably catchy and noteworthy.
After 2010's Buzzard, the band raced into Electrical Audio studio and recorded the new album in ten days with music guru Jon Congleton (you might recognize him from producing/engineering albums for David Byrne, Modest Mouse, St Vincent, and Explosions in the Sky). The beautifully brazen 12-song set serves as the second installment in a proposed pop trilogy, and is sure to be an album worth checking out.
