Aussie rapper Manu Crooks just released his debut EP Mood Forever and it's an absolute belter. While I've often stated Aussie hip-hop isn't my thing, Crooks is part of the new breed who understand you don't have to rap with a thick Aussie accent about BBQs, beers and bongs.
Mood Forever is an excellent release featuring the previously released hit "Ridin'" alongside four new tracks, including the electric opener "Day Ones." Miracle & DOPAM!NE's production is on point as Crooks laces the beat with lyrics about sticking by his friends who have been there since the beginning.
"Day Ones" is a real turn-up tune and one I've been banging non-stop all weekend. Crooks velvet flow has never sounded better, and if you're still undecided about the current trends in Aussie hip-hop, Mood Forever is just the type of release to change you mind.
