London quintet Mamas Gun are back with the soulful "Strangers On A Street," the second single lifted from their forthcoming album Golden Days.
Another soul infused R&B charmer, "Strangers On A Street" tells the tale of two former friends who run into each years after a massive fallout. Andy Platts' rich vocals are accompanied by uplifting instrumentation built around a vibrant melody. The way Mamas Gun are able to pay homage to the sounds of the '70s while adding their own original fingerprint is a testament to the bands creative authenticity. Talking about the lyrical content of the song Platts had this to say;
I love that idea of talking about something maybe serious, sad, or loaded emotionally, but dressing it up in something more immediate. The music calls you in, then you unwrap it and realise there's something a bit more at the centre of it.
Golden Days is set for release May 18.
