California boys TastyTreat have returned this March with a some seriously soulful electronic goodness as they remix Mako's "Way Back Home."
The track is really beautiful, laden with shimmery synths and wobbly subs that subtly bring out the pure and jubilant emotions from Mako's earnest vocal, it will make you feel like you can take on whatever it is that is may be bringing you down.
Speaking to Indie Shuffle about the new remix, TastyTreat said:
"We typically make lush R&B-esque type tunes as of late. Our last EP NeonAffect had a very soulful and uplifting feel to it. When Ultra approached us with this song from Mako the lyrics really spoke to us and hit us deep in the feels. The emotion is just so somber and kind of dark but there seemed to be a glimmer of hope which is why we brought a bit of an uplifting feel to the chorus."
They've got an Majestic Casual & Buygore EP which I can only imagine will be just as magical as this remix. Stay tuned!
