Why do we like this?

Maki is a Canadian producer from Kamloops B.C. who spent most of his musical career working with several Canadian underground hip-hop acts and labels that include CHR, MISM, and Luana Record.

After 15 years of producing for other artists, he'll be making his debut this month as an artist in his own right with the release of his instrumental record We Will Not Lead We Will Only Detonate.

Today we get the first single from the album "We Spin Around The Night Consumed By The Fire." The song's plodding, hard-pounding beats married with instrumental throbs and flickers breeds a sound that's as brooding and intense as it is cinematic.

We Will Not Lead We Will Only Detonate is set to be released on March 25 via Endemik Music.
