Why do we like this?

I'm really happy to introduce you to UK-based electronic producer Makeness, the newest (and very first international) signee to Melbourne label Good Manners (Lucianblomkamp, Planete, Kllo).

"Rogue" is an intriguing and expressive track, toying with tones, rhythms and a uniquely fluid atmosphere. One by one, bass, winds, and a light beat begin to form the atmosphere, with synths and a mantra-like vocal layer adding to the captivating and really quite strange sound.

I love how unusual this track is. I love that it's difficult to describe and define, yet still so immersive, so mesmerizing.

The track features on Makeness' debut EP, which reportedly explores the concept of “having two realities, and not being able to distinguish which one is real life.” I'm really looking forward to hearing more from Makeness, real name Kyle Molleson -- if "Rogue" is anything to go by, we're in for something pretty damn interesting.
