I'm so glad I stuck with this track, because it didn't grab me in the first 25 seconds. It starts off a bit quiet and reverbed, then out of nowhere... WHACK. The beat hits the floor and drops for all money.
This is Stwo's edit of Majid Jordan's very listenable original track that was released earlier this month. And it's hot. With bigger hits and an undeniable scorching feel, it is an edgier take on the whole R&B-infused electronic thing.
In fact, I was having this discussion with a fellow Indie Shuffle writer the other night at a random bar in Brooklyn -- about how much we're enjoying the R&B influence that's increasingly popping up in various ways across lots of electronic acts of late. No complaints from us!
You won't be complaining, either, when I point out that this sultry number is also a free download. Get it here.
