Why do we like this?

The hardest genre in the world to impress me in is, undoubtedly, female-vocalist-singer-songwriter. Okay, that's a lot of hyphens. Whatever.

Mai Kino's "The Waves" has emerged as one of the few tracks to stand out within the over-saturated genre, and with good reason. It's dark, mysterious, and demonstrates that the London-based Portugal-native has a lot of potential behind it.

As we've said in prior reviews: "So worth it."
