Why do we like this?

Seems like MAGDALENA BAY is a bit hit or miss on Indie Shuffle. When I first picked up on them back in 2018 they picked up 250+ favorites for "Waking Up."

By contrast, "Nothing Baby" (a song I still like to this day) only picked up 6. Eek.

Naturally that means I'm on the edge of my seat re: how "Woww" will perform. Perhaps my favorite part is the beautiful blend of Boards of Canada / Lone -esque instrumentation.

I have high hopes, of course. The song is catchy in a cheeky sort of way, and I think these guys have a huge amount of potential. They're gearing up to release an EP called Mini Mix Vol. 2, so hopefully more ear candy will follow soon.
