Why do we like this?

You might not know it, but Future Island's Sam Herring has been moonlighting as New England MC Hemlock Ernst for a while now. Think a not-so-awkward Anticon. 

Madlib, as you might very well know, has been moonlighting as a couple of dozen monikers for a couple of dozen years. Think Sun Ra meets Pete Rock with a little Blowfly. 

Trouble Knows Me is the name of their collaborative project, pairing Ernst's excoriating WASP-y gravel rhymes with Madlib's patented unquantized slappers.

The first taste is quite palatable, though I'll need to hear the offering in its entirety to see if our man Hemlock can truly do the Bad Kid justice.
