The French Launchpad virtuoso Madeon, who has achieved stardom from his YouTube video "Pop Culture" that samples 39 samples (see below), is back in action. It's pretty hard to believe that this youngster started composing at age 11, while most of us were still learning how to tie our shoes. Madeon has achieved more at 19 years young than most DJs his age have ever dreamed of, which includes playing at Ultra, EDC, Coachella, Lollapalooza, touring and opening for Lady Gaga (couch cough), and the list goes on.
Madeon is back to tell an electronic story through his new track "Technicolor," which features a longer structure than he's typically done in the past. It is definitely a storytelling track, taking you on an electric journey of highs and lows that melodically swoon up and down tempos. For me, the track is no "Pop Culture" or "Finale," but worthwhile nonetheless.
I will add that Madeon was one of the highlights for me at Coachella two years ago -- so if you get a chance to see him live, do it! For more Madeon tunes, pop on over to his SoundCloud.
