Sweet, sultry, downtempo, and infused with future R&B stylings, Mackenzie Thoms delivers a sexy and soft pop-electronica record with his latest single, "Do Me All Again."
The Los Angeles-based musician croons like Miguel and oozes sensitivity as he sings about his inability to be vulnerable despite his yearning for it (especially in lines like "I don't even know myself / Let alone somebody else").
However, he never goes full-on sentimental, showing a real penchant for control and knowing which buttons to push. Combined with a smooth electronic soundscape which envelops and seduces like a warm blanket in a cold cabin, "Do Me All Again" plays out blissfully much like other contemporaries such as Flume or Manila Killa; it taps into something youthful and starry-eyed while carefully addressing ideas like contemplation and second chances.
Be sure to pick up his new single when it's released digitally on January 29.
