Why do we like this?
Ironically enough, this footwork record was made using royalty-free samples from a Converse website—yes, the shoe company—and premiered during ADE, a few months ago. Somehow this release slipped through the cracks, but through a remix competition, I discovered the original tune.
"Take Flight" is an atmospheric juke track that has cinematic characteristics, unlike a huge majority of lackluster dance tracks. The contrary aspects of chill and hype on this record create a tension that gives it an incredible amount of replay value.
If you can't get enough of this, you're bound to like what the rest of Machinedrum's SoundCloud has to offer.
