Shane Cooper, head of the fresh jazz ensemble Mabuta, specifically asked me not to drift off on one of my odd tangents. It's not an unfair request, I vaguely remember my last review touting that I was a horse person, or something like that.
Cooper's latest project boasts an epic line-up of South African musicians. All of whom have contributed to what could be the closest rendition of the soundtrack to my play; 'Cats in Space: When Pussy Met Feivel.'
It's a romance, mostly. Essentially, it's how the domestic cat population would adjust to their owners habituating space. The play highlights a connection between two unlikely felines in the midst of planetary travel, where a really cute (in my opinion) narrative arises.
Fuck. Shane, my bad.
