If you've started reading this before having hit play you're now forewarned that there's a storm coming for your ears. Imagine Fela Kuti meets a contemporary jazz band (obviously when he was still alive) and then fast forward to a day and age where people can make music from something called a computer -- that's a broad description of this remix.
Mabuta's debut album, Welcome To This World, is jazz mania, and now there's a full remix package due out in December. If you're at all familiar with South Africa's electronic scene you'll dig to know remixers include: rkls, Jazzuelle, and Gourmet. They'll be joined by global electronic heavyweights Daedelus and, obviously, Slugabed.
