Why do we like this?
On March 2nd, Lykke Li will release her second album Wounded Rhymes on LL Recordings, recorded over the course of six months spend in Echo Park, Los Angeles -- a far distance from the Swede's homeland.
According to Li, time spend in L.A. resulted in her music taking a turn for something slightly haunting. More precisely, the songs are "hypnotic, psychotic, and more primal." Had my only taste of the new album been the earlier single "Get Some" I might have had a harder time believing this. "Love Out of Lust," however, fully embodies this darker sound, leaving me curious to listen to her new album as whole.
