Why do we like this?
As most of us already know, Beck's quest to make sweet music with as many indie artists as possible continues to prosper, graciously supplying us many tracks and albums that some will argue are better than the last. One track that has not surfaced the Indie Shuffle musical archives is his take on Lykke Li's 2010 hit, "Get Some."
Coined as the "second official remix" of "Get Some," this version of Lykke Li's praised track gives us slightly more danceable grooves with erratic beat pulsations and weird vocal arrangements. It has become standard for Beck to toy with his tracks, adding strange workings here an there, but what I find pleasantly surprising is the bluesy, funk elements suitably intertwined with Lykke Li's Swedish swagger.
