Touted as the Geezer James Blake, electronic producer Lukas Freeman could well be the UK's next big thing in the downtempo electro scene. A former grime MC turned music producer, Freeman's sound encapsulates portions of hip-hop, electronica, and pop, with lyrics dealing in love, loss, and life in gloomy London.
"Weep" is Freeman's take on a casual relationship as it becomes serious, a moody and eerie number that slowly seeps into the soul. Freeman's hushed vocals have that unmistakable English twang, and along with innovative and haunting production, it makes for a truly brilliant piece of music.
