Why do we like this?
Alright, so I have been looking for a way to get my favorite pianist, Ludovico Einaudi, on Indie Shuffle without it sticking out like a sore thumb, but... I can't wait any longer. Warning: This song does not have hard synths or a fat drop -- it's classical music, y'all.
A few years ago, I invited my mom (awwww) to come watch a pianist at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco by the name of Ludovico Einaudi. She had never heard of him, but based on my good judgment and not being able to pass up time with me, she made the drive to San Francisco from a few hours away to attend what would be one of the most memorable concerts we've both been to.
Ludovico Einaudi is an Italian composer and pianist who has scored numerous of films and trailers over the years, which include popular films such as Black Swan and J. Edgar. His list of recordings found on Wikipedia is mind-boggling and dates back to the 80s.
The album I was first introduced to, and ultimately what got me hooked, was Divenire, which was released back in 2006. The track "Divenire" comes from the self-titled album that hosts a classical contemporary feel. Still today, this album gets many plays when I need to get calm and collected.
All in all, I shared this artist and track with hopes to broaden your musical pallat that reaches to the classical genre. If you are ever in need to get calm and collected without delving into the minimal electronica category, give Ludovico Einaudi a try.
