Australia continues to be home to some of the best musical acts in the world, and Lowtide are further proof of that statement. The Melbourne trio are gearing up for the release of their sophomore album, Southern Mind, next month, and having already tantalized with first single "Alibi," have this week released follow up single, "Elizabeth Tower."
A hazy shoegaze jigsaw of eclectic riffs and male/female vocals, "Elizabeth Tower" has a carefree vibe swallowed by the fuzzy instrumentation heard throughout. The duel vocals add a dreamy element to the track, while the film clip directed by Jamieson Moore is full of feelings of nostalgia induced by archival footage.
This is another wonderful release from Lowtide and I for one can not wait until their album is released next month.
Southern Mind drops February 16.
