Canadian songstress Lowell is gearing up to release her debut album We Loved Her Dearly this September (via Arts & Crafts), which naturally means the intermittent release of new singles.
Our last listen came roughly 1.5 months ago with "I Love You Money," an infections song with catchy percussion and an incredible hook. Today, she's back with a new single "Summertime."
The song marks a stark contrast to the upbeat nature of prior releases, capturing the artist in a more down-tempo and melancholic light. Personally, I'd have to say this one isn't my favorite, but as a standalone, it merits coverage.
