Birds of Paradise (City)
There are two parts to this song, two changes in perspective, two aesthetics that, for singular moments, introduce themselves and then link up into a cohesive and satisfying whole.
If you've ever seen those Animal Planet POV videos of birds flying, the first part of this song will click with you almost immediately - a hitting beat (I'm pretty sure is accurate to a bird flapping its wings) and a jungle rhythm introduces itself into your ears, carrying you through a distant, non-chaotic view, only to then introduce the break.
The break is where this song gets interesting, it's where the jungle beats, the 'birds of paradise' feeling fades away, opening up with a quick narrative jab, and hits you straight into a cityscape - a city bird view.
This is where this song surprised me, it took me for a loop and I loved it!
