Why do we like this?

I knew this was going to be good as soon as I hit play, and I sure as heck wasn't disappointed.

LA-based Lostboycrow has a number of tracks under his belt, each with a good deal of success. Most of them are way more poppy than this, though.

"Powers" comes across with a ton of soul, eliciting easy comparisons to the likes of The Neighbourhood. That's clearly a formula that works, because it managed to grab my attention.
