"Between Brick Walls" is the tasty latest from New York four piece Loose Buttons.
Sounding like a mixture of The Last Shadow Puppets and The Strokes, "Between Brick Walls" has all the elements of an indie classic. Hazy guitar licks and early 00s indie rhythms come together in laid-back number about a broken relationship, with frontman Eric Nizgretsky's wistful vocals and emotive lyrics bringing it all together.
"'Between Brick Walls' was penned after a much-needed epiphany that my ex and I were fundamentally wrong for each other," Nizgretsky explains. "Being the train-wreck romantic that I am, I made the mistake of keeping the relationship alive for much longer than I should have. Truthfully, I did it because I was insecure about being alone. The song is about going through the motions to avoid that dreaded loneliness."
Loose Buttons' forthcoming EP, Sundays, is set for release February 24.
