Why do we like this?
Fantastic rhythm and instrumentation on this track "Crystal Caverns 1991" by Lone. Particularly head-turning about this track is the abrupt change in ton -- a heavy shift toward the UK garage sound -- just before the 2-minute mark.
The song comes as the first single off his May 7th Galaxy Gardens, which will also feature collaborations from Machinedrum and Anneka. If this track is any indication, there's little doubt in my mind that this album will represent a sharp shift in sound relative to his former Emerald Fantasy Tracks album (which had a more ambient, minimal approach). Whichever way the cookie crumbles, I'm excited to hear the whole thing.
