Why do we like this?
When an artist keeps their online profile sparse, my feelings toward them can go one of two ways. They'll either bug me to the point of switching off, or intrigue me into wanting to know more. Melbourne producer London most definitely falls into the latter category, especially given the fact that his music is so promising.
A sought-after DJ by night, his debut single "Rhoes" is a standout first offering. What I like most about this track is the way it shifts gears a number of times. From a silky smooth start, it progresses to a staggered, almost hypnotic vibe before dropping suddenly just when you've been lulled into a false sense of security.
Without a Facebook page to date, you can follow London on his SoundCloud or Twitter for updates. What I can tell you now is that there looks to be an EP in the works, so you can expect some more jams from Australia's newest standout producer in the not-to-distant future.
