Skin is a funky, sultry song of warning. “No, no, no, no, no, no darlin’ don’t feed her. Don’t you give her something sweet to drink,” pleads Locks Geary-Griffin, with a voice so soothing, I’d follow her siren song anywhere.
The narrative goes on to steer someone clear of an evil ancient woman who will get under their skin and lead them to demise, all over the top of a slapping bass line. There are also some devious strings and keys being manipulated beneath the lyrics.
This song is great. The rest of what LOCKS has is a mystery to me, but not for much longer.
