Why do we like this?
I've always liked Lloyd Banks. While many claim his flow is monotonous, he's always had a way with words and clever puns, and if not for 50 Cent, he may have been G-Unit's breakout star. While he doesn't experience the same fame and fortune levels as 50, Banks has continued to release a solid slew of records and mixtapes over the years, much to my appreciation.
Opening with a Godfather III sample, "Drop A Diamond" is the first snippet from his forthcoming mixtape, All Or Nothing Vol. 1: Failure Is Not An Option, a piano-laced Ryan Alexy production that includes a guest verse from Wu legend Raekwon. The chemistry between the two MCs is great, with Rae in particularly understated form and Bank's typical distinct flow with less punch lines and more street influenced.
