Why do we like this?
She can't erase her rage, and I can't erase their presence on a stage... from my mind, that is.
Halloween and all the treats it has to offer came a little early for me this year. While attending a Masquerade "ball" on October 22 at Go For a Loop Gallery & Studios in San Francisco's Mission District, I was jarred awake by Queen Caveat's sound. By Lauren Little's contradicting to little voice. By Jesse Magnuson bruising the drums. Coupled with Will Weissman's crushing charm on the bass and Ben Epand's lassoing effect to their sound with his guitar, this quartet (a newborn baby of a band) from Los Angeles will be one to watch grow.
Enjoy the current simplicity that is their website by taking in their music video for "What Built Me."
Director Evan Urman evokes Aronosky with his own twist on Black Swan. Little for Portman. Slaps for stabs.
