Why do we like this?
Deaf Poets are a Miami-based duo featuring Florida native Sean Wouters on guitar and vocals and Argentina's Nicolas Espinosa on drums. Their debut album, 4150, was released this past year to much acclaim.
I recently got the chance to see them live; the show took place Thursday at The Stache in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. It was produced by Gummdrops, a collective based in Miami.
Dear Poets started around 11:15pm, and I was immediately blown away by their sound -- although they're a duo, it really felt like a full band experience. Their colorful sounds captured the audience's attention for the full hour, playing a lot of the highlights from 4150, and closing with "This Pain."
Follow Deaf Poets on Facebook for new music from them. I highly recommend you check them out!
