Why do we like this?
Little Tybee is a five piece band hailing from Atlanta, Georgia with a specialty in sophisticated orchestral indie folk. If you're looking for a band that creates innovative and fresh music that stands the test of time, Little Tybee maybe your new favorite discovery.
"Nero" seems to be one of their more well-known tracks, and I can see why. The beginning of the song starts with a slithering build, delicate but strong. It's as if Little Tybee is tip-toeing into what will soon be a strikingly beautiful ballad. The pace and volume pick up unannounced and keeps the integrity going throughout the rest of the song. The combination of classic acoustic guitar, slightly psychedelic electric guitar, orchestral violin, poppy bass and energetic drums makes for a song that just won't quit.
And I don't want it to! I'm really enjoying Little Tybee's perspective of modern day indie folk. If you are too, check out this CNN video of them explaining their craft and check out some more of their music here.
