Why do we like this?

I normally turn the other way when a female-fronted synth-pop outfit comes my way, but for a second time Litany have managed to win me over.

The first time was with "Woman" back in June. It was an interesting and border-line experimental track, featuring Appleby on the vocals. By contrast, "Work This Out" has a more approachable sound, probably owing to less-discordant vocals.

This duo of 21-year-olds from Harrogate in England are clearly onto something good.
