Having discovered Liquid Monk through their absorbing slow jam "On The Rocks," I'm super pumped to be posting about follow up single "Nighttime."
Taking a slightly different route from the hip-hop influenced first single, "Nighttime" is a jazzy electronic spectacle you could imagine hearing at Studio 54 during its prime. The track features the vocal talents of Kameryn Ogden whose entrancing delivery and personal lyrics are paramount to the tracks success. Speaking on the new track, Liquid Monk states:
'We had been looking to write an original with Kameryn since we began performing with her last summer. After we laid ‘Nighttime’ in the studio, it seemed like the perfect vibe for her songwriting and vocal style. We played it for her and she immediately connected with it.'
Liquid Monk's upcoming self-titled album is set for release later this year.
