Why do we like this?
Every now and then a nice song comes along that makes me instantly go, "Hey, this sounds like such and such a band. But it's just a little bit nicer!"

Such is the case with LIPs, a one-girl, Brooklyn-based Kiwi (that's New Zealand). I think she sounds just like Little Dragon. But her music is subdued and enrapturing. Such that I'm pretty sure I have no choice but to make this one Song of the Day.
