Why do we like this?

Perth two-piece Lilt return with the exciting, dramatic "Capture," following on from their "Don't Tell Me," released back in February.

Sparse synths and a hollowed rhythm form the base of the track's burgeoning soundscape, led by the unique and incredibly emotive melody of vocalist Louise Penman. The echoed vocal harmonies are easily my favorite aspect of the track. There's something about those specific notes that somehow elevate the track, adding a melodramatic, nearly theatrical feel to the track.

"Capture" is dark and rich, and as a whole, it's really easy to get lost in the emotional atmosphere of it all. There's a lot of female-fronted electro-pop out there, but Penman's powerhouse vocal delivery really makes these guys stand out.
