Why do we like this?
The first time I found out about these Detroit electro poppers, they were opening for the sexy Swedish dance hall crasher Robyn, sometime last year. Already thoroughly blitzed by the presence of one of my biggest idols, I recall Lettercamp sobering me up long enough to acknowledge that they, too, had quite a thing going. They're music was danceable, they're stage show was downright sexy, and they seemed to be advocates of having a good time. They're sound originated more from Detroit's international roots and spoke to a wider, more worldly, audience.
Thus, it is not surprising that Lettercamp's forthcoming album will be released by Swedish label Substream. Here we see a shinning example of what happens when Swedes start calling the shots -- pure sexiness. Lettercamp, now armed with a hot list of remixes, might be ready for musical genre domination. This variation of "Buy In" by Benja Molina is just my flavor, and really stands out. A very tasteful tech house tune, indeed.
