Why do we like this?

Just one listen to LEISURE's "Slipping Away" leaves me singing 'I keep on, keep on slipping away.' After a full day of bobbing along to the beat in my head, there's nothing better than sitting in front of a good sound system, hitting play, and hearing the song come to life once again with those crooning backing vocals and wavy strings.

This is the first release for the New Zealand collective after a brief hiatus following last year’s sophomore album,TWISTER. Not being online at all for the last two years, I missed that release, but I'm glad I caught them now and hope to keep hearing more!

For me, the sentiment of "Slipping Away" takes the track from good to gold, as the band explains:

'Slipping Away’ comes from a place of good intention. Knowing you need to step up and be better for the ones you love despite on-going challenges.
