I was fortunate enough to hear this track dropped at the All Day I Dream party curated by Lee Burridge and friends. All Day I Dream (ADID) is more than a traveling outdoor party, it's a cultural gathering. Entering its third season, the event is about uniting people with similar mindsets. "Dreamers," as Lee Burridge refers to his throng of revelers, share the same positive vibe and energy that can transform the backyard of a factory building in Brooklyn (The Well) into a modern-day epicenter of culture.
The sound filling the airwaves and providing the backdrop for this amalgamation of New Yorkers is termed "melodica." The term rings true, because it just flows on and on, like a never-ending melody. And with the addition of New York resident DJ Mike Khoury, you can continue to expect dream-woven soundscapes fueling the ethereal dancing way into the night.
For this year's NYC season opener, the skies opened up and provided light rays of sun on the congregation of dreamers. Pork sandwiches provided the nourishment and there was plenty of sangria and VRB (Vodka Red Bulls) to fuel the all-day party under the sun. If you missed this spectacular journey, don't fret "” the traveling party spans everywhere from L.A. to Chicago and will be returning to New York for July 4.
