Billie Eilish and Finneas can step aside because this new brother-sister team is about to take center stage. The pair of siblings, Clyde and Gracie, along with their six other band-mates, churn out lovely tunes that radiate soul and pop influences.
For such sharp emotions, this track is delicate and gentle, which makes it tug on my heartstrings even more. Lawrence dials back the tempo to deliver a tender, stripped-back song. Gracie uses her feather-like voice to longingly sing about wondering how an ex is doing and wanting to reach out to them, even if the conversation is about something as minute as the weather.
Although Lawrence set aside their jazzy instruments and gospel sound for this track, they didn’t forget an ounce of their soulful energy.
