Why do we like this?
Late last month I brought you Laura Welsh's new single "Cold Front," a beautiful song that reminded me a bit of Jessie Ware and AlunaGeorge. The song still hasn't been officially released (available July 15th via Polydor/Outsiders), but that doesn't mean the remixes can't start flowing in.
Today we're stoked to bring you a premiere of Russ Chimes' take on "Cold Front." His remix sees the song adapt a slightly progressive house vibe, reminiscent of Indie Shuffle favorite Kidnap Kid. The end result has a faster tempo, transforming the song's mood from sultry to dancey house (wholly relevant given the repeated lyrics "if we alter the pace," which while referring to a relationship, take a literal interpretation in this remix).
