A Misty Valley

Laura Joy introduces us to a landscape of folk and R&B that moves together so efficiently that my heart couldn't keep up.

It's a beautiful feat of design when a performance can feel so indie folk and yet R&B at the same time. "Breather" is a soulful fog of sounds that washes over the valley, hiding its best parts on the other end of a path that you'll need to traverse, and definitely would want to.

The track is a low cloud, a scene from a Ghibli film, a valley of wind, and a dreamscape that I'm so happy to be lost in it.
