Why do we like this?

This is an absolute stunner from Laura Misch. The multi-instrumentalist and producer from London makes a remarkable addition to the Misch family music contribution with "Forsaken" - the leading single off her upcoming self-produced LP called Playground.

One of the song's most interesting elements is the interplay between Misch's vocals and dual saxophone lines. It's not often you hear horns brought so up front in the mix of a track and a lot of the reason why it works here would purely come down to great writing.

The other function which "Forsaken" seems to hold is introducing a more refined sound relative to her previous releases. For some artists that may come as a negative compromise, but in the case of Laura Misch, it simply gives us an even clearer opportunity to hear how much soul and effort is being harnessed behind the scenes.

Keep an eye on her social media pages for more info on and/or releases off Playground.
