Why do we like this?
Sydney producer Lanterns has steadily grown since winning the FBi Northern Lights Competition last year. The multi-instrumentalist has been featured on Indie Shuffle previously, with his singles "Say Oh" and "Gluestick" gracing our humble site last year -- we were also lucky enough to have him appear at our last Indie Shuffle Presents night in Sydney.
With a new EP arriving later this year, Lanterns recently dropped his latest dreamy single, "Lost in Space." Already known for arranging lush, creative soundscapes on his previous work, he seems to have taken another step forward in this department on this track. His combination of live instruments and effects, beats and other electronics set him apart from the majority of artists, as does his charming vocals.
This self-styled "tinkerer" is a breath of fresh air in a convoluted industry.
