Melbourne's Lanks really caught a lot of people off-guard with his debut release back in January. The solo guise of Will Cuming (who also fronts indie-pop 7-piece Farrow), his single "Rises and Falls" was met with substantial appreciation, with plenty of people intrigued to hear more from this promising project.
Thankfully, that time is upon us, with Indie Shuffle given the first look at his new single.
If you were hooked on his first release, then "Knife and Spear" is bound to solidify your views, with Cuming delivering a track of significant substance. Beautifully haunting soundscapes are only improved by Cuming's piercing vocals, with a combination of production and live instrumentation highlighting traditional folk music through a modern, electronically-charged process.
Lanks' debut EP is due out in June, so if you're keen for more, you'll be able to get your hands on it soon.
